 5 Different Little Girls Hair Styles

Mommies love to dress up their little girls. Apart from shopping for cute, colorful, and patterned clothes, mommies love to create different hairstyles using hair bows and hair bands. Whether you’re a mommy, auntie, or grandma, you can change up your little girl’s hairstyle.

There are numerous hairstyles to choose from and we will tell you about some of the hairstyles we absolutely find adorable on little girls. Here, you will find hairstyles with bows and hairbands as well as hairstyles without them.

1.    The Hair Bow

Inspired by Lady Gaga, the hair bow hairstyle is easy to master and your little girl will look like a doll in it. If your little star is fan of the big star, she will love this hairstyle for sure. You will need to gather the following items:

  • Brush
  • Spray bottle
  • Rat-tail comb
  • One hair band
  • 6 to 7 bobby pins
  • Hairspray to set the hair

Follow these directions:

  • Pull up her hair into a high ponytail
  • Take a rubber band and brush her hair to make it smooth and then tie the rubber band around her hair
  • When you get to the last loop, pull her hair halfway through it
  • Part the hair in the middle to create the two ends of the bow
  • Brush her hair and spray hairspray
  • Wrap her hair in the center of the bow and add bobby pins to secure it and keep the edges down
  • Spray hairspray and you’re done

2.    The Dutch Fishtail Braid

If you love Dutch braids and fishtail braids, combine the two to create the Dutch fishtail braid hairstyle. You will need the following items:

  • Hair tie
  • Hair bow
  • Bobby pins
  • Hairspray to set the hair

Time to get started:

  • Begin in the top right side
  • Do the Dutch three strand braid
  • Wrap the braid around her head to the bottom left side
  • Secure the braid with bobby pins
  • Take the hair on the left side
  • Twist the hair and connect it to that braid
  • Secure it with a hair tie
  • Accessorize it with a bow tie of your choice

3.    Half-French Braids

Half-French Braids

If you do not want to tie all your little girl’s hair, but still keep it off her face, you can try this half-French braids hairstyle. You will the following items:

  • Comb
  • Small hair bands
  • Bobby pins
  • Clip
  • Hair Bow
  • Dry shampoo to set the hair

Create this hairstyle:

  • Spray dry shampoo on hair
  • Part hair from the center
  • Clip one side of her hair
  • Take the unclipped side of hair in front of her forehead and if your little girl has bangs, take the hair from behind her bangs
  • Do leave some of the hair above her ear
  • Divide her hair into three equal subsections
  • Braid this section of her hair and from the center, part only to the top section
  • Do not use the hair on the bottom and create the half-French braid
  • Continue creating the half-French braid, going in a diagonal downward direction until you reach the middle
  • Braid the section with the three unused strands, but without incorporating them into her and use a small hair band to her hair
  • Follow the same steps for the clipped section
  • Place bobby pins in her hair to tie the braids together and tie them one more time with another hair band
  • Add a hair bow of your choice in the back on top of the small hairband to hide it

4.    Curly Pigtails with Bow Tie

With this curly pigtails with bow tie hairstyle, your friends and family will stop doting on your little one. Your beautiful girl will look so lovely in this hairstyle, especially when she twirls around and her hair twirls with her. You will need the following items:

  • Bow Ties
  • Curling rollers
  • 4 small hair bands
  • Rattail comb
  • Hairspray to set the hair

Here’s how to create it:

  • Use the rat tail comb to create an off-center section
  • Comb through the hair to remove tangles
  • Separate her hair into two section
  • Collect all her hair from one section and use the hair band to tie her hair into a ponytail
  • Do the same thing for the other hair
  • Separate each pigtail into two sections or three if your little girl has voluminous hair
  • Use a curling roller to wrap each section of hair
  • Leave the hair wrapped around the curling roller for one to two hours
  • Remove the hair from curling rollers
  • Use a hair to tie the pigtails and clip a hair bow on top of it

5.    Bow Bun

The bow bun is an attractive and easy to create hairstyle for your little one. If you are attending an event and your little girl is dressing up in a beautiful formal dress, this hairstyle will go perfect with her look. You need the following items:

  • Small hair band
  • Bobby pins
  • Hairspray to set the hair

Let’s start pulling and twisting:

  • Pull her hair back into a hair band and create a loop using half to three-quarters of her hair in the hair band, but leave a long loose end
  • Tuck the loose end of the loop into the hair band to keep the loop in place
  • Take the looped hair and divide it into two even sections
  • Use a bobby pin to clip one loop off to one side
  • Repeat the same steps with the second loop
  • Pull the loose end of the loop in front of the bow to create the center part of the bow
  • Pull the loop back and through the center of the bow parts
  • Tuck the ends of the loop into her hair using bobby pins to secure it
  • Fluff the hair and spray it with hairspray
  • Add a hair bow to it
